Premium Green Inverted Roof Insulation

Premium Green Inverted Roof Insulation for inverted roofs is KIWA-certified and is available in a wide range of densities to meet the specified compression performance for green and brown roof applications including light traffic maintenance roofs and roof terraces.

An inverted roof construction places thermal insulation above the waterproof layer. This maintains the waterproof membrane at an even temperature and protects it from the damaging effects of UV radiation or the effects of the weather. The specified thermal performance of the inverted roof is achieved through the roof design and the thickness of the insulation used.

          Key Benefits

  • KIWA Certified BAR-19-098-S-A-UK
  • For use on flat roofs with zero pitch and slopes up to 10°
  • Resistant to the effects of freeze/thaw
  • Meets the application’s required compressive strength
  • Supplied in 200, 300, 500, 600 and 200+ grade
  • 100% recyclable

Product specification

BEWI supplies insulation boards in a range of grades suitable for all flat roof applications.

BEWI Premium Green Inverted Roof Insulation for inverted roofs is supplied in  200, 300 and 200+ grades that are suitable for the loads associated with light maintenance traffic on roofs, pedestrian foot traffic on balconies and roof terraces.

BEWI Premium Green Roof 500 and 600 grade is available for higher loading requirements.

Where paving slabs are to be placed over the insulation on spacer pads the point loads should be calculated to an equivalent uniformly distributed load (See datasheet for example).

The table above shows average thickness of BEWI Inverted Roof Insulation range required to achieve U values from 0.25 W/m²K down to 0.10 W/m²K. The calculation is based on an inverted roof construction of 150mm reinforced concrete deck, hot melt waterproofing, BEWI Inverted Roof Insulation, BEWI Filter Membrane, drainage factor ƒx = 0.001 and average rate of precipitation (P) ≤ 3.000 (mm/day).
