It’s been a year since Team BEWI crossed the finish line of Cycle4Europe 2019 in Varberg, Sweden. The route was divided in 4 stages and four teams with a mixture of BEWI employees and experienced cyclists.

Raised 600,000 SEK for Loza Foundation

The first team started 15 days earlier in Skopje, North Macedonia and together all teams cycled over 2500 kilometers through the Balkans and across northern Europe.

Team BEWiI is an initiative from BEWiSynbra. By cycling for a good cause, we can make a difference and contribute to social sustainability. Through Cycle4Europe 2019 we helped to raise 600,000 SEK for Loza Foundation.

“Thanks to Cycle4Europe we managed to highlight a long-forgotten, hidden part of Europe, where some people are stuck in inhuman living conditions and are in dire need of help,” says Sabina Grubbeson, founder of Loza Foundation.

The money from Cycle4Europe helped Loza Foundation pay for education and winter clothes and to improve living conditions for disabled people in North Macedonia.

A lot has changed in a year

Covid-19 overshadows everything, Cycle4Europe 2020 has been postponed, but one thing remains the same. We still support Loza Foundation’s work for some of the most people in Europe. Team BEWiSynbra will be back and we will keep cycling for a good cause.
