More insulation, less weight

Reco Port in western Sweden has produced industrial doors for almost 40 years. When you operate on the Nordic market you know the value of products made for rainy autumns and cold winters. So Reco Port work together with BEWI.

– It’s important to us that the door has a first-rate insulating capacity and that’s what we get with the EPS from BEWI. And since EPS is 98% air, it weighs almost nothing. That makes it possible to reduce the door’s total weight and get a low U-value [the thermal transmittance through material]. It saves energy and makes the indoor climate nicer, says Johan Ahlström, CEO, Reco Port.

Sustainability for generations

Reco Port’s folding industrial doors are among the most sold in Scandinavia. Behind the metal in these and several other Reco Port doors are EPS boards that are specially adapted for a perfect fit. That way we at BEWI never use more raw material than needed and Reco Port avoid unnecessary waste.
