BEWI introduces its innovation Xire, a fire-resistant insulation solution developed to meet the high demands for safety and energy efficiency in the building sector. Commercial production of Xire will begin in January 2025.

 

 

From concept to reality

The cornerstone of BEWI’s innovation work is to constantly search for products and solutions creating more value to customers, which has driven the development of Xire, a solution that optimises fire safety while preserving the benefits of conventional EPS (expandable polystyrene).

Xire achieves fire-resistant properties through a specialised coating applied to each EPS bead, without compromising the lightweight, moisture-resistant, and insulating qualities of EPS. 

 

 

 

XireTop – The first of many applications

XireTop is an ideal solution for flat roofs, BEWI has a broader vision for Xire’s potential. Future applications in wall and roof systems are already in the pipeline, supporting the customers in building safe, robust and energy efficient constructions.
