Two sustainability conferences start as a cycle event finish
The cycle event Cycle4Europe finishes in Varberg on 19 September. At the same time, delegates from several countries gather in Arena Varberg for not one, but two conferences on sustainability. BEWiSynbra is a key contributor to all three events.
The cycle event Cycle4Europe is organized by Loza Foundation in partnership with BEWiSynbra in support of the most vulnerable people in some of the poorest countries in Europe. In 17 days, the riders will cycle 2,500 kilometers from Skopje, North Macedonia, to reach the finish line in Varberg, Sweden on September 19.
– Cycle4Europe will help us raise awareness about people who live in inhuman conditions in our part of the world and raise money to help even more, says Sabina Grubbeson, founder of the Loza Foundation, that work to give orphans in war-torn countries better lives, and many other projects.
– Loza Foundation makes life better for people who live not far from here. We are proud to support them, says Martin Bekken, Managing director of BEWiSynbra Circular, a part of the BEWiSynbra Group responsible for increasing the collection- and recycling of used EPS. He is also one of the founders of Team BEWiSynbra that cycles in support of different charity organizations every year. During Cycle4Europe Jonas Colting, six-time triathlon World Championship and European Championship medalist, and Tommy Prim, two time Giro d’Italia runner-up, will join the team.
Use Re-Use Day
Just a stone’s throw away from the finish line BEWiSynbra organizes its Use-ReUse Day on 19 September. Speakers, exhibitors and delegates gather in Arena Varberg to discuss how businesses can work more efficiently with sustainability.
– Sustainability is the most important issue of our time. And I’m convinced that it’s possible to make a difference if everybody works together. We arrange Use-ReUse Day so that companies can learn from each other and make their sustainability initiatives successful, says Martin Bekken.
– There will be speakers from Sweden, Norway and Finland. They will talk about everything from how to work with recycled plastics to turning sustainability into business opportunities, says Martin Bekken.
BEWiSynbra is also one of the sponsors of Hållbarhetsdagen i Halland on September 20. It also takes place in Arena Varberg and on the agenda stands positive social development economically, socially and for our environment.
More and more people understad and want to be part of and take responsibility for sustainable social development, but it is not easy to know how to be involved and influence and make a difference.
In order to really change, it is necessary that actors from all social structures cooperate.
On this day, researchers, entrepreneurs, the public sector and citizens gather in a wonderful mix to inspire and be inspired to collaborate on a more sustainable social development.
We will get social analyzes of Kairos Future. Ari Riabacke Dr. in decision-making will give its view of what is needed to lead in complex structures and in times of rapid change.
We can also take advantage of good examples that challenge existing structures with great success.
Maria Wetterstrand, who is now a social debater and sustainability consultant, is the moderator and holds the day together.
Organizers for this day are Coompanion, CooCreate, CSR West Sweden and NW Event & Marketing.
