BEWI’s COO Jonas Siljeskär elected to represent the EPS converters at the EUMEPS board
EUMEPS, the association for European manufacturers of expanded polystyrene, has elected Jonas Siljeskär from the BEWI group to represent the EPS converters at its board of directors as of 1 January 2026. Siljeskär is Chief Operating Officer (COO) of BEWI and previously served as Vice President of the EUMEPS board, where he represented the raw materials suppliers, i.e. BEWI RAW.
The appointment strengthens BEWI’s engagement on topics ranging from circularity and recycling to innovation and standards affecting EPS (expanded polystyrene) applications in the building and packaging sector.
“I’m pleased to take on this role on behalf of BEWI. EUMEPS is an important forum for engaging with policymakers and partners across Europe, providing us with increased insights on what’s on top of the industry’s agenda. I look forward to contributing to solutions that support performance, safety and circularity in both construction and packaging”, Jonas Siljeskär says.
EUMEPS is committed to promoting the use of EPS as a sustainable and efficient choice for insulation and packaging solutions in Europe and is the leading voice for the EPS industry. Through a network of 23 national associations and 69 company members, EUMEPS represents the collective interests of the EPS value chain, from raw material suppliers and converters to recyclers. The board of directors brings together representatives from various companies and associations, providing balanced governance for the sectors. In addition to Jonas Siljeskär from the BEWI group, Alan Moss from BEWI RAW serves as Vice-President to the EUMEPS board, representing the raw materials suppliers.
