Innovation together with Heatsave

Every heat pump releases condensed water, and the traditional way of dealing with that is to use a metal tray and a heater to prevent the water from freezing during the winter.

BEWIs designer came up with a moulded tray in EPP that, with its insulating properties, makes it possible for the condensed water to drain before it freezes. With the shift from the metal tray to EPP, Heatsave reduced the manufacturing cost of the new product by up to 5 times.

It also made installing the pump easier and reduced electricity use by eliminating the need for a heater.
The solution saves money for both Heatsave and the users but also benefits the environment. EPP is 100% recyclable and can, by the end of a product’s lifecycle, be used to produce new innovative and sustainable solutions. That’s value creation.
